About Us
P.Perichi Gounder Memorial Charitable Trust(PPG Trust) was founded in the year 1992 by Dr.L.P.Thangavelu with a conviction to render quality health education , cancer care ,general and professional education to the people of coimbatore and its surroundings.
The Trust runs various educational institutions for the past fourteen years like college of nursing, college of physiotherapy, college of education, Teacher Training Institute , Institute of Technology and a Business School.
Dr.L.P.Thangavelu, the Chairman of the Trust and Mrs.Shanthi Thangavelu, correspondent of the PPG Group of Institutions, felt the need of a good school in the area where all the PPG Educational Institutions are located. This has prompted them to found Alchemy Public School opposite to the PPG Institute of Technology.

The vision of Alchemy Public School is to address the dreams and aspirations of students and lead them to achieve by bringing out the innate potential in them. And To keep updating and foreseeing as "The best is yet to be..."
Mission
The mission of Alchemy Public School is to inspire the children; provide qualitative learning experience and transform them into achievers and citizens of tomorrow's world with in 3 years. Alchemy is dedicated to inspiring a passion for learning and developing the attitudes, skills and knowledge will enable all students to maximize their potential as positive, responsible participants in our democratic society and the global community by 2022.

I had visited the Alchemy Public School at Villakurichi recently during my travel to Coimbatore since the kids of my niece are studying here.I had a discussion with the kids about this School and they have expressed excellent opinion about their Alma mater.During my visit to this School I could see that the Security guard on duty is very alert and vigilant and had asked me about the purpose of my visit.The School building as it looks from outside is very good.

My personal experience was very bad with the school faculties... My son S stdying 3rd,First, the receptionist Mrs. Ponmani-we went on 9th Feb, where we filled the enquiry form, since we r from Hyderabad, however we r tamilians, my son dint gv a chance to study Tamil as Hindi and Telugu were compulsory over here, but ths lady was asking me so many questions as y I dint teach him Tamil, and then when I told her tht let him take Tamil as 3rd Lang and I will make sure that I will teach him, she was not satsfd, secondly, she gave choice of either Sat or Monday to write entrance test, bt Whn v went on Monday, she was like 'I asked u to cme on Sat, but y did u come today? '...and thn again she started telling tht how he is gonna handle without writing and reading Tamil, and she also asked which schools v hv approached, and thn my son came bk wthn 15mins from the test saying tht he don't know anything, the principal called us and said tht he don't write anythn and Whn v saw the question paper, v were really shocked as none of the questions were from 3rd std syllabus and instead they had gvn 4th syllabi, and she jus created a pic and scene as if she S teaching my son in front of us, evrythn wer indirect questions and she wanted my son to answer those, y am giving such a long explanation is that if they don't wish the students to join in the school, they will go to any extent cheating the parents,even I saw the kg section and no hygiene is been maintained, so pls do gv a second thought before even applying for ths school
