About Us
Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College founded by V.S.V. Vidyaa Mandir Trust during 1997 with an objective to meet the higher educational needs of the rural as well as the urban youth in and around Pollachi and other districts of Tamilnadu, has become the cynosure of everyone and has won the confidence of the people as an institution of excellence with discipline, quality and values. The trust was formed by the three great visionaries of the three Philanthropic families – Thiru. P.M.Thyagarajan, Thiru. M.K.Arumugam and Thiru. D.Sivaraman.
And now the institution is ably run and professionally managed by the highly enterprising and service minded business titans and their legal heirs, Thiru. M.A.Vijayamoghan as Chairman, Thiru. T.Sethupati as Vice Chairman and Thiru.S.Venkkatesh as Secretary. Our Former Director General Dr. M.Settu was a brilliant corporate wizard who is no more, played a major role with his road map, strategic guidance and meticulous planning in transforming the institution into an excellent one and his atman ever remains as the guiding spirit of STC for its great leap. The induction of new directors Mrs. Shravanthy Krishnamurthy, Mr. M.V. Sreekanth and Mr. P.T.S. Shreeram into the Management Board has given a new dimension, lustre and extra mileage to the management of the Institution.
STC stands unique and majestic with its ‘A’ grade twice by NAAC, ISO certification 21001 -2018, the 2nd Best College Award among the affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University and the Second Rank holder in Sports and Athletics continuously during the last seven years. Beginning its academic YATRA with a skeleton strength and from 1997 it is strong as on date with 3000 students. Being Co- Educational and autonomous it has several unique selling propositions, need based curriculam and outcome based programmes. A new building named VSV Centre for Advanced Studies with all modern facilities has been opened to enhance the teaching and learning exercises and research pursuits and for accommodating the new and latest programmes introduced. The management always thinks in a big way. It has several scholarship schemes for students who are meritorious, economically backward and extra–ordinarily proficient. The institution has also introduced a special scholarship scheme through STC MSET for UG and PG students from 2019 onwards. Nearly Rs.9 crore have been disbursed to students as scholarships since 2004-05

Worst college. Only money minded college... 60% of the faculties are selfish and they don't know how to handle students even Principal also... I don't know about management but some faculties are very very very selfish.. 12th students plz our humble request plz don't joining stc in pollachi after completing your higher secondary studies ur life totally gaali....... ESPECIALLY COMMERCE dept. School life is better then STC. Worst clg'a in pollachi .

Is this actually a college? I don't think so. Because our school life is soo much better than the life in this college.Its actually not worth of one star.For other state students they show no mercy.No freedom.No equality.Full partiality for tamil students.If there is any festival such as annual day, college faculty prepares time for them. Bus for us they make time as 1 min program.25 years old college and no development.Only a college for money farming 😡😡

I had been studying 5 years in this college, an awesome experience. Good ambiance in class functioning. Qualified teachers. I am perusing MIB in this college.I fed better experience and learning through digital made me a good outstanding by comparing to other colleges.

Fees for all courses is very less. Scholarship for weeker section of community is offer and merit scholarship,alumi scholarship siblings scholarship is offered. The college timing very good. Beautiful Infrastructure. Stc is best arts and science college in coimbatore. It provide purified water fealities through water doctor. Good decipine. There is no raging. Finally good place develop our knowledge.

As all people mostly knows about this college before joining it's a best arts and science college in and around Coimbatore . The interior and the new block is trendy which has a very good standard . But the admission process is smart because it's a high ranked College. The crowd during admission will be large . The students are also good . It's a best College in Coimbatore.

Good for learning environment and the faculty are very helpful academically and encouraging other social activity. I am very proud to say I am stcian and I am student of the great department MIB. The campus comprises of two place known as old building and new building. New building looks like smart. This one of the best college. I like MIB.. Good atmosphere. Faculty are helping minded treated as friendly.

A developing institution with good infrastructure and well maintained decorum. You can gain the knowledge and experience only when you utilise the institute and facilities. Can get more exposure here. Compating to the other institutions STC is good for the students development.

Management and Staff more supportive for, Sports activities, More knowledgeable staffs Photography club(To Encourage fresh minds) Yoga Class for all courses Many Inter and Intra-collegiate functions contacted by all the departments(*Especially PG Courses) Annual day Sports day Graduation day Freshers day Canteen food okay You'll get all study related material from campus store. (Xerox, Binding, Chacho...etc.,) Everything grand function supported and contacted by the management. I may forgot to say many things., As a STCian I'm proudly writing this review as per my knowledge!
