Om Murugan Industries is located in the Industrial City of Coimbatore, and commenced operations in 1974, primarily to serve the agricultural pump sets market with the brand name as "OMI PUMPSETS". In the next couple of decades it has made rapid strides in the field, and has become the cause of happiness to many people in the country.The organization manufacturers Borewell Submersibles, Agricultural Monoblocks and Openwell Submersibles in the brand name of “OMI PUMPSETS”. Single Phase domestic pumps, Single phase Jet pumps, Single Phase Openwell submersibles and Compressors in the brand name of “BARANI PUMPSETS”. The Organization exports their products to various countries in the name of “TORREN PUMPSETS”, which is an attempt and endeavor to manufacture world class products.The Organization specializes in the production of Centrifugal Monoblocks, Jet Pumps, Submersible Pumps, Open well submersible Pumps, Compressors and Induction Motors. We are infact one of the few companies in the world to manufacture Full Stainless Steel Submersible pump sets., in Investment casting as well as Stainless Steel Fabrication.The Company has a built in area of 60000 sq feet, and is spread in over three locations. It also has two in-house foundries to cater to the needs of the organization whose annual consumption is around 1200 tons of castings. The Company emphasizes the need for all round development of the product and the employees, to improve the quality of work life of the employees and the product.Today with a turnover of around 300 million rupees the company employs over 130 people directly and an equal number of people indirectly and has over 1000 varieties of pump sets. A wide network of company branches and dealers ensures that the products and services are easily available to the customer in every part of the country.
