About NRI MEDICAL COLLEGE
The city of Vijayawada has a population of close to 1 million and a drawing area of close of 2 million people. Non-Resident Telugu physicians hailing from the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh are acutely aware of the need to establish a modern specialty and general hospital in Vijayawada to serve the people of this region. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has made a policy decision to give an Essentiality Certificate to establish atleast one medical college in each district of Andhra Pradesh. By this impetus, a group of NRI Physicians purchased 50 acres of land and established a 750-bed NRI General Hospital and NRI Academy of Science Medical College in Chinna Kakani, between Guntur and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Worst faculty, some of lectures are misbehaving with the students, they text students in very bad way. And one my friend who studying in 3rd year bsc had same experience, i don't want to mention the lecture name. But beware parents while joining ur children

Great staff and some good professors but terrible college and environment. As a student, it was downhill for me. A college is supposed to make a student better and more prepared for life. Whether that’s academically, physically, or mentally.. college is supposed to be a place of growth. Toppers in exams first year end up not on top by final year. It could be the environment. Competing with one and other is what hurts. Publicizing marks, and making students feel like they don’t belong. Stay away from Andhra. Caste feeling shouldn’t even be a thing in 2020. Only attend this college if you get a top MCAT score. As good as professors are, if you are an average student.. this is not the place to be.

One of the worst hospitals i have visited ..They are thinking patients need to wait no matter what .waited 6 hours for the doctor with a patient who has chholongia carcinoma , finally they said that doctor is too Busy ..come Tomorrow .... please don't play with patients ..

The turn out of the students is not good. Being an NRI college the command over English is really very poor. Teaching is also not so impressive. Students from other states are looked down upon or one can say they are outcasted.
