Can buy all the books
Some places become Landmarks gradually and CHERAN BOOK HOUSE is no exception... They have been serving the Student community since long.....during my student days studying in Pollachi, I used to get down in town hall, buy books here before leaving for my hometown Gobi...now I am visiting again with my Daughter... CHERAN are serving generations...
They need to evolve (a lot). Modern bookshops allow customers to walk though the isles, browse books, provide some seating to even read before buying. But in here, you cannot access the shelves. You will have to come planned, purchase and leave. Even for this, they did not have any rare collections. All in all, i had a huge expectation due to all the hype but they turned out disappointing. The staff were helpful though. The phone was ringing continuously and they had to multi-task. I am pretty sure there are far better book shops just across the road.

Few staffs are good, few are very bad in attitude! No +1 & +2 books available! High cost for all the books having low quality prints! It's the whole industry to be blamed! Students cannot get a good book at effective price!!! Every publication and authors are to be blamed!! If this shop carries such service, it's legacy won't last long enough!!

This is a place to buy books for school kids .... college students and others .... They have a huge collection of books for various syllabus like state board , matriculation , CBSE and others.... they do sell guides also ...apart from these they have various other books for government exams and competitive exams as well .... Books and guide for Hindi exams are also available here....
