Dr M.Muthu Saravana Kumar,
MS Ortho, DNB (Ortho), FIA (Switzerland) Born to teacher parents Mr. Meignanaguru and Mrs. Velammal, his academic journey started at Krishnapuram Panchayat School.
- He went on to Complete MBBS degree with Distinctions from Madurai Medical College
- He entered his Post Graduation via All India Entrance Examination
- Passed MS Ortho with Gold Medal from M.P. Shah Medical College Gujarat
- Fellowship in Hip and Knee Joint Replacement from Zurich, Switzerland
- Fellowship in Traumatology – Germany
- Fellowship in Revision Joint Replacements-Bangkok, Thailand
- University First (Gold medalist ) in MS Ortho Degree Examination
- Gold Medal for paper on Knee Replacement conducted by Indo-European Arthroscopy/Arthroplasty Foundation
- He started his career as a Registrar in a well renowned Private Orthopaedic Hospital at Coimbatore.
- He gained the confidence of his Chief in a very short span and started handling surgeries individually in the absence of his Chief Surgeon.
- Soon he became a busy on- call Orthopaedic Surgeon for many private hospitals in and around Coimbatore.
- To suffice his crave for serving the poor he served as Assistant Professor in Department of Orthopedics in CMCH, Coimbatore for a period of 3.5years
- Soon he positioned himself as Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon at a famous Hospital in Coimbatore for a period of 3 years
- He stepped into the threshold of his own brand Dr Muthu’s Ortho Centre in a Hospital complex at Coimbatore on 20th May 2011. This hospital premises has touched the lives of many individuals’ rich and poor, people with simple fractures to life threatening near death situations and brought new limbs and life in them. Many had started their second innings breathing new life and hope and for many it had been a real reincarnation.
Dr M.Muthu Saravana Kumar can be best described as a man of passion towards inventing modern orthopaedic surgeries and compassion towards mankind. He does not discriminate among the haves and have-nots. He strongly believes and practices that modern medical advancements in orthopaedic surgeries should be made available to all.
Now he is one among the few well-known Chief Orthopaedic Surgeons in Coimbatore and has been associated with a number of orthopaedic centres in this region.
He has put in commendable efforts to bring in, innovative advancements in Joint Replacement Surgeries, mainly focusing on knee, hip, shoulder, elbow and ankle operations.
With years of practices and research, Dr.M.Muthu Saravana Kumar has submitted resea rch papers in relation to orthopedics.
He has won accolades for his contribution in orthopaedic field from both Indian and International medical fraternity for his outstanding and brilliant involvement.
